This is an organizing and interest vigil to create an active, vital PDA wing in Missoula. Our citizen participation in the govenment of Montana in Helena legislature—which is now Republican majority—necessitates educating ourselves, sharing our actions and ideas, and regrouping all citizens who care about Montana and the direction we're headed for at this time.
Nationally, January 2011 starts off with definitive action on the street and in the offices of our members of Congress.
Tell your representative and senators:
"Hands off Social Security"
"Bring the troops home in 2011"
"Move money from the Pentagon to our communities"Join your fellow progressives at the Brown Bag Lunch Vigil near you.
Remind your representative that
Social Security is the cornerstone of a just an fair society. No one can afford to be without it. Tell your representative that it is unacceptable to make our armed forces, their families, and their friends wait any longer to
bring the troops home from Afghanistan.
Demand that the
hundreds of billions of dollars pouring into the coffers of war profiteers be redirected where it's needed to create jobs, save jobs, and sustain the public services we need.
