______

From Dr. Bill Honigman, PDA CA Coordinator …..

Much thanks to all of you who have been able to join us on the PDA Calif Healthcare NOT Warfare Roadshow at events this week in Corona, Orange, Santa Monica, and Santa Barbara. Turnouts have been solid and packed with PDA energy for activism, as we have been joined by Tim Carpenter, Mimi Kennedy, Patrick Kelly, Norman Solomon, Lila Garrett, Tom Hayden, and many others now along the way.

Please join us in Sacramento this weekend if you are able, where we’ll gather at the state party Convention

( www.cadem.org ) at the entrance to Registration a half hour before it opens on Friday at 1PM for a PDA pre-convention briefing, and assignments for outreach to other attendees. Also on Friday, attend the meeting of the Progressive Caucus, and help pick its new leadership.

On Saturday, at the Ambrosia Café join us for our PDA/Progressive Caucus Open Mic Lunch:

where we’ll all hear from all of us, our ideas for activism, “What’s working in your community to raise consciousness, and win hearts and minds?” And join us to welcome Dr. Howard Dean to Sacramento that evening, and show him that California is for a Single Payer type Medicare for All system of healthcare reform.

And finally, on Sunday we will gather to support the various resolutions that put the California Democratic Party on record as regards the issues that make us progressives. And join us for our usual post-convention PDA Calif debriefing, again with Tim Carpenter, as we look at what we accomplished this weekend and what lies on the horizon for PDA.

Again, thanks all for your participation and especially for your own activism.

Peace and Health,

Dr Bill
