PDA California SINGLE PAYER ACTION 4/6

Please join Single-Payer Advocates from all over California for a rally at the final scheduled White House Forum on Healthcare Reform in Los Angeles this Monday, April 6th to put Single-Payer and HR 676 on the table as the best option for healthcare reform.

PDA California has been part of the planning for this action to demonstrate that we the people demand a single-payer national healthcare system.

The forum will be held at The California Endowment, 1000 N. Alameda St, about 2 blocks north of Union Station in Los Angeles. It will start at 10:30am and doors open at 9:00am. Attendees must be seated by 10:00am. Folks should starting arriving no later than 8:30am.

Fellow member organizations of the*Leadership Conference for Guaranteed Healthcare, the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and the California Nurses Association (CNA)* are going to bring members into Los Angeles from the Rancho Cucamonga area on the Metro-Link. It will be called the “Freedom From Insurance Train.”

If you would like to ride in on the “Freedom from Insurance Train,” please contact Cyndi Young at cyoung@csea.com by Thursday, April 2nd, and CSEA/CNA will pick up the cost of the ticket.

Lunch will be provided at the rally site, as well as water. If you are coming in on a bus or car, consider making a sign that says “Freedom from Insurance Bus” or “Freedom from Insurance Car.”

If you can’t make it to LA please consider calling, writing, or emailing the White House, our US Senators Boxer and Feinstein, and your Congressional Representative on Monday to voice your support for Single Payer and HR 676.
