TALKING POINTS: SERIOUS ELECTION PROBLEMS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

More great talking points from Marilyn and Fred!

1.Votes are counted by machines that are easily hacked or manipulated.

2.Officials in charge of voting have vested interest in the outcome.

3.Corporations controlling machine outcomes have vested interest in the outcome.

4.Many eligible voters have been denied the right to vote:

* deliberate intimidation * deliberate purging of voter names * insufficient supply of voting machines * machine breakdown. * requiring discriminatory ID compliance.

5. The media has not been attentive enough to voting problems.

6.The media has paid too little attention to discrepancies between official counts and exit poll results.

7.FOR THIS ELECTION, THE MEDIA MUST BE VIGILANT.

8.It is urgent that we elect officials committed to transparent voting (e.g., Deborah Bowen).

9.We must have a paper trail that will be sampled adequately (10%), or

10.Even better, we must have hand-counted paper ballots.

11.WITHOUT ENSURING HONEST ELECTIONS, WE CANNOT ASSUME OUR GOVERNMENT IS LEGITIMATE.
