Please join Sonoma County PDA members and allies as we keep vigil in front of Rep. Lynn Woolsey’s office to stop the escalation and funding for war.
We thank Rep. Woolsey for signing on to support HR 2454, calling for an exit strategy from Afghanistan & HR 3699, prohibiting any increase in the number of U.S. Armed Forces in Afghanistan.
Further, we call on Rep. Woolsey to publicly commit to voting “No” on any bills that fund wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, or Yemen, and to publicly urge her colleagues and the House leadership to make the same commitment.
Bring your lunch and your signs. Please plan to make this a regular lunch date the 3rd Wednesday of every month, 12 noon – 1 pm.

Come to the party to meet fellow progressives or say hi to your old friends when PDA’s national team pays a visit to Santa Rosa on their West Coast ‘tour’. Tim Carpenter, Conor Boylan, Laura Bonham and Roberta McNair will be in the Bay Area for the PDA Western Regional Meeting in Oakland on Saturday, September 26 and we are honored that they will be staying over to visit us on Monday, September 28.
We are also very happy that Norman Solomon who has just returned from a trip to Afghanistan will be joining us as well. In addition to being a noted author, media critic and peace and social justice activist, Norman is Co-Chair of Healthcare Not Warfare & Green New Deal for the North Bay and a member of PDA’s Advisory Board.
Please join us and meet the National Team or get to know them better. There will be a Q&A with the team to find out (almost) anything you want to know! PDSonoma County will supply the yummy dessert for this festive occasion.
